Accessibility

What we aim for

We take WCAG 2.1 level AA as the target. We are not there everywhere, and we would rather say so than publish a badge nobody has checked.

What already works

Pages are built from real headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can move through them by structure. Navigation, forms and buttons are reachable and operable from the keyboard, and focus stays visible. Anchors in the page work without JavaScript. Text follows your browser’s font size, and animation — including the smooth scrolling on the landing page — is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion.

Where it is still hard

NORIA is voice-first: creating a story needs a working microphone and the ability to speak, and there is no equivalent text-only path yet. The landing page is long, and some decorative imagery carries mood that a screen reader will not convey. Colour contrast is good in most places but not verified everywhere.
